Improving the Use of the Arms for Sports
Good organization of the arms and upper body in relationship to the pelvis and legs is key to our comfort, balance, precision, and ability in many sports-related activities. The lessons in this program will help you improve and refine the use of your arms in order to connect more deeply with the rotational power of your core.
This program is relevant to athletes of all levels. It will improve your comfort and self-use in all activities involving a racquet, paddle, club, or bat. It will also improve your ability to throw a ball, swim, and engage in non-sports-related activities that involve reaching. The lessons will help you to develop a lighter, more comfortable, and more efficient use of your arms and improve the coordination of your legs, pelvis, spine, and ribs with the movement of your arms for greater dexterity, coordination, and ease of motion.
Feldenkrais Teacher, Dwight Pargee, specializes in using the Feldenkrais Method to help athletes to improve their self organization.
