We are delighted to announce a new Feldenkrais series taught by David Zemach-Bersin to help you care for your shoulders!

Shoulder problems are extremely common. First, because there is more mobility in our shoulder joints than in any other joints in our body. This makes them especially vulnerable to strain, overuse, and injury.

And second, because our shoulders are among the most emotionally reactive parts of our body. Due to the close connection between our sympathetic nervous system and our shoulders, our shoulders often reflect our moods and feelings. They tend to rise, round, and become tense in response to anxiety, self-protection, fear, and anger. But that's not all. Many people report that their shoulders also rise up, round and become tense habitually as they work on their computers, text, or do household chores! Habitual shoulder tension rarely goes away on its own and can lead to injuries and problems in other parts of the body, as time goes on.

If you have shoulder pain or have developed habits involving shoulder tension, consider treating yourself to this series. David is one of the world's most experienced Feldenkrais teachers and brings 50 years of clinical experience to his online classes and programs. He looks forward to sharing effective, soothing Feldenkrais lessons that you can use to keep your shoulders safe, comfortable, and pain-free.

This program addresses this important subject in greater depth and detail than in his previous shoulder-related courses: Liberate Your Neck & Shoulders and Shoulder Relief.

The benefits of this series may include:

  • Pain reduction in your shoulders, neck, and spine
  • Quicker recovery from rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, bursitis, and shoulder sprains
  • Increased flexibility and range of movement in your spine, shoulders, and arms
  • Improved organization, so you're less vulnerable to shoulder injury
  • New strategies for reducing habitual patterns of muscular tension
  • Better posture
  • Better breathing
  • Stress reduction

"I have an inflammatory condition and this course has had a tremendous impact on me. Before I did the lessons, I couldn’t lift my arms out to the side. After doing them a few times, I had so much relief in my shoulders that I was able to sleep comfortably on my side and even able to play golf today!"
